Young Yarmouth snooker star lifts his second trophy

Yarmouth snooker player, Noah Gartell, picked up his second winner’s trophy of the season in the sixth leg of the Cuestars U-21 Bronze Tour.

Beating good friend, Archie Greier, 2-1 in the final, took the 12-year-old to within six points of the top of the league, after his trip to Coulsden in London.

“I should have won 2-0,” Noel said. “But Archie always comes back on the colours.

“I lost to him yesterday (in the Open Series at Chandlers Ford Snooker Club). It was 2-1. I should have won the second frame. I was about 20 points in front on the colours.”

Noel’s coach, Tim Dunkley, said: “Noah did well. I was proud of him. His composure under pressure belies his tender years.

“He has come on so much since he joined us at Chandlers Ford Snooker Club nearly two years ago. But he does work hard.”

Reflecting on the title race, Gartell said: “I’ve got a chance. We’ll just have to see what happens.”
