Following the tragic death of Merrill Osmond’s son Troy, the Osmonds cancelled their Isle of Wight performance, which was to have been the grande finale of the Very Merry Rockin’ Good Christmas tour. The Osmonds had been due to play Shanklin Theatre on Saturday, December 15.
The stars of the show – Merrill and Jay Osmond – made the following statement: “We have cancelled The Isle of Wight show. We truly apologise for any inconvenience, but we are planning to return to The Isle of Wight in 2019 and look forward to seeing you there.”
Shanklin Theatre Box Office have agreed to refund all those who had bought tickets. Their phone number is 01983 868000.
