Each year, during the Christmas holidays, Dinosaur Isle Museum leads a guided walk to look for fossils from the time of the dinosaurs. This year, it will be at Yaverland on Saturday December 29, starting at Dinosaur Isle Museum at 10 am.
The Christmas fossil walk has become a popular tradition with some families, and with good weather it attracts a lot of visitors.
This walk provides an opportunity to look for fossils from our eroding coastline, and to walk off all that Christmas turkey. Wrap up warm and bring wellingtons. Bring a small plastic bucket or strong plastic bag for children to collect fossils.
This will be a great event for families on the UK mainland or further abroad visiting relatives and friends on the Island for Christmas.
The prices are as follows: Adults £5, Children (ages 3 to 15) £4, Family 1 (2 adults, 2 children) £16.50, Family 2 (2 adults, 3 children) £19.50, Concession (pensioner / student) £4
