The Ability Dogs 4 Young People IW Fun Dog Show held on Sunday has been hailed a success.
Held at the Ability Dogs Training Centre at Sandown Airport, the day was spent celebrating the bond between dogs and owners while raising vital funds.
The Fun Dog Show was full of energy, offering family activities including a toy tombola, bottle tombola, and the pet mystery box game. Participants and their furry companions showcased their talents in the Dog Show, with waggy tails and enthusiastic barks lighting up the event. There was something for everyone with celebrations of both puppies and veterans. The quirky and the beautiful were equally recognised with dogs showing off their tricks.

Charity CEO, Carol Court said: “We were absolutely delighted with the number of people from the Island community who came out to support us. The work our Ability Dogs do is making a significant difference to young people living in crisis in our Island community. Our recipients are gaining their independence and self-belief. Without the support from their Ability Dog companion, many of these young people would continue to feel isolated and alone.”
Save the date for the Gala Weekend on June 8 & 9 at Sandown Airport, Lake. This will celebrate the charity’s work and its life-changing impact on young people. Enjoy activities, heart-warming stories, meet Ability Dogs in training and explore stalls from local businesses. The dog show will also return where your four-legged friends can showcase their talents.
