After an 8-week junior golf programme, held at the West Wight Sports Centre and Freshwater Bay Golf Club, run by the club’s professional golfer, James Veal, 25, young Islanders graduated through the programme.

Director and junior co-ordinator, Peter Bonnell, explained: “We have given junior members priority practice times so they can develop their skills.”
