A fresh, new brand identity, for the Island sea pool, has been created by IW College student, James Watson, following a unique collaboration between the project team and the college’s graphic design department.
As part of his final year Level 3 graphic design course, James developed a full brand package, including logo, icon and supporting design elements, with support from lecturer, Louise Downer, and fellow students. His design was selected after the sea pool team invited final year students to submit concepts.
James’ winning design will now be rolled out across the sea pool’s website, social media, signage and promotional material. He has been awarded £250 towards his future studies, which continue this autumn when he begins a marketing degree at Portsmouth University.
Marnie Janaway, of the IW Sea Pool, said; “We wanted to showcase local creative talent and give young people a chance to be part of this exciting project from the very start. James’ design resonated immediately with the whole team.”
The new brand identity will be officially launched later this autumn.
