Shanklin Town Brass Band performed a strong set to overcome national competition, and finished third, on Sunday, at the Regional Championships in Torquay, and winning promotion to the third section.
The competition marked the conductor, Malcolm Lewis’s 30 years at the helm of the band, with tributes coming from fellow musicians and band members.
