Five Ryde Harriers delivered strong performances at the Swansea half-marathon, with four of them representing England in a competitive Home Nations event.
Selection for the England team was based on results from five qualifying races held earlier this year, with the top three in each age group earning places.
This meant 15 athletes represented England across age categories from 35 to 80. Carly Scoble, running in the W35 category finished in 1h 23m 15s – just shy of her personal best. She was the fourth scoring member of the England team.
Dave Hunt, competing in the M40 category, ran a solid race to clock 1h 14m 9s, also placing fourth among the England representatives. He now turns his focus to the Island Games in Orkney.
In the W55 age group, Trish Train finished in 1h 37m 10s, taking seventh place in the team.
