Rainbow Run back for 2022

By IW Observer.co.uk Apr 11, 2022

Wessex Cancer Trust’s three-kilometre family run (1.86 miles) is back on July 10, with a new location at Northwood’s County Showground.

Rainbow Run – Bubble Fun is in its fourth year and is the trust’s biggest annual fund-raiser, which features a fun-filled course of giant inflatables, colour stations and bubbles. The first time this year it is in the shape of a rainbow.

The charity’s regional fund-raising manager, Lorraine White, said: “Rainbow Run has become a firm favourite in the Island’s summer events calendar and the winning combination of giant inflatables, rainbow paint, bubbles and sunshine always create the most amazing atmosphere.

“Since it started, Rainbow Run has raised more than £100,000 for Island families living with cancer and, this year, we need all your support more than ever.

“Missed diagnoses and delays in cancer treatment due to Covid mean we are experiencing an ever-increasing demand for our services, and your support means we can continue to be there for more and more Islanders when they need us most.”

Participants will receive a medal for taking part, and – if you raise more than £50 in sponsorship by June 10 – you will be a star fund-raiser and receive a special Rainbow Run T-shirt to wear on the day.

Tickets for this year’s event are on sale now and, for a limited time, early bookers can enjoy 10 per cent off registration fees using the special code, rainbow10. There is also a limited number of VIP packages available.
