New link from Red Squirrel Trail offers route to Harvey Browns

After two years of planning and hard work, a new link from the Red Squirrel Trail to Harvey Browns has officially opened.

The long awaited connection means cyclists, walkers, runners and even horse riders can now reach the popular farm shop and café without having to navigate the busy main road. The new route is expected to make journeys safer and more enjoyable for all ages, while also encouraging more people to explore the local countryside.

The link also creates fresh opportunities to connect with existing routes, linking into Godshill, Wroxall and beyond. This makes it a welcome addition for local residents and visitors exploring the Island’s network of trails.

A spokesman for Harvey Browns said; “We’re so excited to welcome people via this new connection. It has been two years in the making, and we know how much safer and easier it will be for families and individuals to reach us without worrying about the traffic. It also opens up many more options for exploring the beautiful local area.”

The Red Squirrel Trail already one of the most popular routes for residents and tourists alike.
