Gear up for Ride4Life 2019 in aid of Air Ambulance

Ride4Life, in aid of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA), is a 40-mile motorcycle ride around the Isle of Wight, both starting and finishing at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, Havenstreet, on Sunday 21st July.

Meeting at 9am, the group will set off at around 10:30am, taking in the idyllic scenery and stopping off along the way for coffee and a catch-up with like-minded motorcyclists.
Keen biker and organiser of the event, Pete Edwards, says: “As bikers, we all know someone, or have heard of someone, who has required the attention of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Critical Care Teams.”

He added: “Living on the Isle of Wight, you begin to realise what a crucial service HIOWAA provide. It costs £15,000 a day to keep the Charity operational, and is funded purely by public donations. That is why events such as Ride4Life are crucial to keep this life-saving service running.”

Entry is £10 per rider, plus £5 per pillion, with all proceeds going towards HIOWAA.  Bikers are asked to sign up prior to the ride on the Events page at www.hiowaa.org.
