Members of Freshwater Bay Golf Club have raised £4,452 in support of the Hampshire & IW Air Ambulance.
The fund-raising total was announced last weekend at the club’s Christmas party, where Judith Stephens, representing the Air Ambulance, attended as a special guest. She was welcomed by club captain, Bill Evitts, who presented her with a cheque on behalf of the membership.
Judith thanked the club for its generosity, and spoke about the importance of community fund-raising in keeping the life-saving service operating. She highlighted that the charity relies heavily on public donations to fund its emergency medical response across the region.
Freshwater Bay Golf Club thanked everyone who contributed to the fund-raising throughout the year, and said it was proud to support such an essential local service.
