Deadpool Rob and Friends raise crucial charity funds

Deadpool Rob and Friends

There were super-heroes wherever you turned, as Deadpool Rob and Friends were out in force at a charity family fun-day, at Eastern Gardens, Ryde, on Sunday.

Deadpool Rob (Rob Munt) was joined by Spider Man, Johnny Bravo, Odin, Dr Strange, Ironman, Batman, Beetlejuice and even some fairy princesses, including Elsa and Rapunzel.

More than £3,000 was raised for Breast Cancer Now, with fund-raiser, Sarah Jones, saying: “The whole day was amazing. Crowds were queueing from 9.30am when we opened until the time we closed at 4pm. There were locals, people on holiday and visitors coming from the mainland for the day; they didn’t stop!

“Rob was brilliant and there was lots of other stuff going on, and the crowds absolutely loved the DeLorean car, used in Back to the Future, and the Jurassic Jeep.

“We also had stalls and live music, as well as Whatever Next who brought along a python!”

Rob added: “We had hours and hours of absolute joy, fun, singing, dancing, hugs, selfies, high fives and everything else we could possibly do!

“My mind is blown with the sheer amount of support I got for this event – my fifth! The people who help before the event, after the event, during, the stall holders, our team, the cosplayers who show up and, of course, everyone who attends!”
