Boy released without charge in Cowes assault case
1 min readA vicious assault in Cowes has seen one boy arrested and released without charge.
A 41-year-old man was walking his dog in Cowes on Thursday (July 26) when he was attacked by a male at around 11.30pm.
Officers have arrested a 15-year-old boy and released him without charge in connection with the assault in Bath Road.
A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We are continuing to investigate a report of a 41 year-old man being assaulted on Bath Road in Cowes.
“We received the report shortly after 11:30pm on Thursday (July 26).
“The victim was treated for lacerations to his head.
“A 15 year-old boy from the Isle of Wight has been arrested as part of our enquiries and has been released without charge, but remains under investigation.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
