A house in Haylands was severely damaged when a garden fire spread out of control and reached sheds and eventually the property.
Fire pumps attended the blaze at South Field Gardens, and nearby Bettesworth Road had to be closed.
Hampshire Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service attended the scene, but it understood everyone in the area was moved to safety before the fire began to spread.
