A popular Isle of Wight zero waste shop is on the move and its current premises could become a new tattoo studio.

Cross Street’s Her Whey is taking over a new shop in Ryde – though it hasn’t revealed where.

Meanwhile, plans have been submitted to the IW Council to officially change the use of its current location.

Behind the proposals is tattoo artist, Laura Drivina, who is currently based round the corner, at Isaku Aesthetics on Ryde High Street.

Planning documents say the 10am to 5pm shop hours would add to the mix of local commercial businesses.

New signs are proposed, along with internal decoration and a fit-out, but no major changes are expected.

You can view the plans, 24/00230/FUL, on the IW Council’s website. Comments can be submitted until March 15.
