’The world’s biggest scooter rally’ this weekend

Around 10,000 scooterists are expected on the Island this weekend, for what is billed as ‘the world’s biggest scooter rally’.

The majority of the scooterists will be based at Sandown Airport, where there will be live music.

On Sunday, the scooterists will take part in a huge ride-out. They will set off at 1pm, from the former ice rink in Ryde, heading towards Puckpool, Nettlestone and St Helens before heading to Yaverland, Sandown High Street, Shanklin and Apse Heath, before returning to Sandown Airport.

There will be plenty of live music in both Ryde and Sandown over the weekend, with a variety of organised and local events.
