Superheroes are real life heroes for breast cancer

1 min read

Deadpool turned up with a few of his superhero pals to help raised a record £820 for a fundraiser in aid of Breast Cancer Now.

The event, at Sandham Gardens, Sandown, was organised by Rob Munt, aka Deadpool, and Sarah Tyrell-Jones, the charity’s community fundraiser. Sarah said: “Rob brought along a few of his friends including Spiderman and Wight Knight who all gave up their time to help us out.

“We had a big crowd and they absolutely loved it with the children having their photos taken with the various characters.

“The stars of the show were Stevo and Kai, who also gave up their time for free, and mesmerised the children with their magic.

“We also had a variety of stalls which included crafts, a teddy tombola and raffle as well as a fancy dress.

“We raised around £820, which is a record for an outdoor event like this, so we are very grateful to the local community who attended and contributed.”
