Peter J Murray, author of the Mokee Joe series of books, visited Cowes recently to talk Lanesend Primary School children from Years 3, 5 and 6 about writing fiction and how to build suspense for scary fiction stories to captivate readers.
The children enjoyed an interactive session in the hall where Peter recalled parts of his scary stories and set the children’s imagination to work on their own spooky stories.
He also returned the following day for a book signing where the children all had an opportunity to purchase books from the Mokee Joe series and get these signed with a personal message from Peter himself.
