Like every other small business in the country, the IW Observer is facing difficult times, but just like other independent Island companies we are not going to let the current situation beat us.
We have been working hard to make sure we weather the current uncertainty and financial challenges and we will come out the other side, bigger, brighter and better than ever. But this is not just about our own business. We truly believe we are all in this together.
The Island’s business community is predominantly made up of small, locally owned businesses, we want them all to survive this crisis as well.
Today we are launching our new campaign ‘Supporting Island Businesses together’. To all the independent and family-owned small companies on the Island, we make you this offer. If you are still trading through this crisis, please let our readers know what you can do for them. We will promote your company and services in our newspaper and through our website COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE, and we will encourage our readers to shop locally and use local companies whenever they can.
We know how amazingly Island businesses have responded to this crisis. Many have diversified and are offering new services to their customers. Others are still in business, but their customers may think they are closed. This is what we want to help promote.
If you are a genuine Island business and would like to take advantage of this offer then please send an e-mail to email@example.com. If you know any small businesses, whatever sector they are in, please make sure they know about our offer. We will feature as many small businesses as we can over the coming weeks.
We want to do this, but we also need help. If you would like to show your support for Island businesses, then become our partner in this campaign. Weaver Brothers Independent Funeral Directors of Bembridge, who are regular advertisers with us, jumped at the chance to help other Island companies.
Caroline Weaver said: “Weaver Brothers Independent Funeral Directors are pleased to support The IW Observer’s free advertising offer for local businesses. We recognise that like us, these independent companies are at the heart of our island community, and their priority first and foremost is you the customer. What’s more by buying locally you are directly supporting the island’s economy through these difficult times”.
If you would like to get involved, either as an individual or a company then call us on (01983) 214264 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
