UPDATE:
Officers searching for missing man Alan Souter have discovered a body this morning.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but his family have been informed.
A file will be prepared for the coroner.
Police on the Island are appealing for your help to find missing man Alan Souter.
The 62-year-old from Freshwater was last seen at about 4.15pm on Monday 8 April at The Needles.
He is described as:
- White hair with a tinge of grey and balding on top
- Clean shaven
- Dark blue and dark green coat
- Purple shirt
- Black cargo trousers
- Black work boots
Updated 16:05: Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary have released two new images of Alan on the Number 7 bus from Alum Bay at around 4.15pm on Monday 8 April.
He was wearing a dark blue and dark green coat, with a purple shirt underneath.
Officers would particularly like to hear from anyone on the Number 7 bus at that time.
