Wow—what a way to kick off the bank holiday weekend!

On Thursday evening, I had the pleasure of watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Shanklin Theatre, performed by the incredibly talented Island Savoyards.

From the moment we stepped through the doors, there was a real buzz of excitement in the air. Once seated, it was impossible to miss the stunning backdrop and props—beautifully designed and perfectly executed throughout the entire production. Hats off to the creative team!

Wonka (Daniel Farmer) was absolutely wonderful, and Charlie (a shared role with Oliver Back and Noah Walker-Green) completely stole our hearts. We were treated to all the magical moments from the story we all know and love, along with some unexpected, hilarious twists that had the audience both laughing and (at times) tearing up.

The show is on tonight, tomorrow and on Easter Monday and there are still a few tickets left for each performance . Really, don’t miss it

A truly delightful way to spend an evening—even Grandpa Joe (aka Paul Stevens) would get out of bed for this!
