Gems Bridalwear, in Newport, is celebrating 25 years of helping brides find the dress of their dreams.
Founded by Sally, whose career began in banking but whose passion was always sewing, Gems Bridalwear grew, from humble beginnings hiring out sample gowns, into one of the Island’s most trusted bridal boutiques. From the outset, Sally’s mission has remained the same: to make every bride’s dream dress affordable without compromising on style.
The business flourished, leading to additional boutiques in Richmond and Chiswick, as well as many years organising the popular Cowes Yacht Haven Bridal Show. Today, Gems Bridalwear holds a special place in Island history, having dressed brides across three generations – mothers, daughters, and now grand-daughters.
Sally said: “It has been a privilege to be part of so many brides’ special days. Our goal has always been to make every woman feel beautiful and confident on her wedding day, whatever her budget.”
Gems Bridalwear continues to welcome brides-to-be at 9–13 Scarrots Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight.
