Friends of the Animals benefit from quiz night

CAODS President, Dinah Bowman, Helen Sinclair and Liz Santer.

This year’s annual community quiz, at Trinity Theatre in Cowes, has raised £600 for Friends of the Animals, supporting the charity’s vital work with animals in need.

The event was organised by Cowes Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society (CAODS), a voluntary non-profit group, and hosted by popular quizmasters, Pete and Tracy Asher. The theatre was packed with supporters, all keen to test their knowledge for a good cause.

CAODS has run the community quiz for several years, raising thousands of pounds for local charities.

Friends of the Animals founder, Helen Sinclair, said: “The last year has been our busiest ever, especially with the cost of veterinary treatment. We’re delighted to receive this generous donation, which will really help with our ongoing expenses.”

The charity operates shops in Sandown, Ryde and Newport to raise funds for its work.

CAODS welcomes new members interested in performing or supporting theatre in Cowes. Details can be found at: www.caods.org.uk
