Floating Bridge out of action until Wednesday

The Floating Bridge is expected to return to service at 5am on Wednesday morning (October 31), say Isle of Wight Council.

A new prow cable will be fitted on Tuesday night (October 30), allowing the service to resume as normal.

The chain ferry was pulled from service on October 24 when a prow cable snapped.

A foot passenger service will be in place between 5am and 11pm until October 31.
