The Isle of Wight Ramblers are holding a final rally to draw attention to their campaign to ensure the King Charles III England Coastal Path follows the shoreline around East Cowes. They are also celebrating their love of walking and local landscapes with the release of a new song, ‘I’m an Isle of Wight Rambler’, written and performed by Steve Love.
The final rally will be held on Wednesday (October 15) from 2.30pm to 4pm, at The Square in East Cowes, adjacent to Waitrose. Attendees can meet Steve Love, hear the song live, and enjoy complimentary light refreshments.
If you’d like to support the campaign to ensure the England Coast Path at Osborne follows a scenic route with sea views, rather than a two-mile stretch along a main road, you can attend the rally or complete a pre-filled form, just adding your name and address. You can access the form via iw.observer/iw-ramblers. The deadline for submitting representations to Natural England is October 22.
