Plans have been confirmed for the return of the Cherry Godfrey Cup, the biennial women’s football tournament linking Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight.

Following the success of the first competition in Jersey last year, the 2026 tournament will take place at Victoria Park, Guernsey, on June 26–27. The event aims to celebrate women’s sport, inspire new players and strengthen links between island communities.

Tanzy Cherry, chief operating officer of Cherry Godfrey, said: “We were absolutely blown away by the incredible atmosphere, talent and team spirit at the first Cherry Godfrey Cup. Seeing players and supporters from across the islands come together to celebrate women’s football was really special, and we can’t wait to see that same energy and passion again in 2026.”

Organisers hope to build on the success of the inaugural event and are calling on Islanders and companies to get behind next year’s event through sponsorship and promotion.

Updates on fixtures, tickets and sponsorship opportunities will be released in the coming months via the Cherry Godfrey Cup social-media channels.
