Did you see this Red Funnel incident with a motor yacht?

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) are appealing for witnesses following the collision between a Red Funnel car ferry and a motor yacht on last month.

The accident took place on September 29 at 4.35pm in the Solent. Nobody was injured in the collision.

Simon May, lead investigator with the MCA’s enforcement team said: “We’ve heard from a number of people who were on scene but need to hear from anyone else who was in the vicinity and may have information that will help with the investigation.”

This incident is separate to the incident on September 27 in which Cowes RNLI were tasked to rescue yachts that had been cut adrift from their moorings after the Red Eagle car ferry left East Cowes on a foggy morning.
