BEDE Events looks forward to 2019 Season

Following a busy Eventing season in 2018, the team at BEDE Events is already making big plans for the Isle of Wight in 2019.

Despite a challenging start to the 2018 season thanks to the “Beast from the East”, BEDE Events chalked up yet another full season of competitions. Working throughout the country, and hosting events at all levels, BEDE is working hard to grow both the sport of Eventing, as well as local economies. One of the big highlights of 2018 was undoubtedly the inaugural London Capital & Finance Osborne Horse Trials held here on the Island this summer.

Horse Trials to return to the Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight welcomed the first event of its kind with open arms, and Queen Victoria’s holiday home, Osborne House, provided the perfect setting. Horses and riders from across the United Kingdom boarded ferries to the Island to compete – although for one local rider Sarah Holmes, it was a very short commute with her three top horses!

Following the success of the first event, BEDE Events has announced a return to the Island on July 23-24 next year. With ideas aplenty, the second London Capital & Finance Osborne Horse Trials is set to be bigger and better than the first.

The Nottinghamshire-based team, led by Stuart Buntine, is already deep into planning next year’s event, with new concepts coming together for the unique competition at Osborne,.

Stuart, Director of BEDE Events, says of the returning event “We look forward to doing it all again. It was years in the planning but the amazing feedback suggests it was worth the wait!”
