700-mile cycle ride for charity

The ‘Always with D’ cyclists raised money for two local charities in memory of a team member Darren Andrew who died in 2018. They cycled from St Thomas’s Square, Newport to San Sebastian in Spain, a distance of 700 miles.

They raised nearly £3,000 for ‘Easy Breathe Isle of Wight’ who support the respiratory department at St. Mary’s Hospital. They presented a cheque for over £5,000 to Beaulieu House, the island’s children’s home and respite care centre, on a previous ride to Santander, when Darren was part of the team that raised funds for the Beaulieu House and Kissypuppy charities.
