£160,000 works on school atrium

The Isle of Wight Council has awarded a contract, worth £160,436 including VAT, to MCM Construction for an atrium re-design project at Haylands Primary School, according to a recently published contract notice.

The construction work, which took just over a month to complete, was focused on enhancing safety within the school’s first-floor atrium. The scope of work involved increasing the height of the existing balustrades by installing a new wall featuring various glazed panels.

The contract was formally signed in July this year, with the works commencing shortly after and running from July 28 to August 30.
