Police attended a minor traffic incident on Upton Road in Ryde this morning (November 5), which has resulted in the road being blocked in both directions.
The incident has taken place between Grenville Drive and Bettsworth Road, outside the former Lake Huron pub.

A blue Peugeot 206 has been involved and has sustained frontend damage.
No one is thought to be injured.
Southern Vectis’ Route 37 bus is currently delayed as a result of the incident.
Motorists are being diverted locally.

UPDATE: A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We were called to a report of a collision between two vehicles in Upton Road, Ryde at 8.17am.
“Two vehicles, a green Nissan Micra and a blue Peugeot 206 were involved. The two women drivers were in shock and one was referred to the ambulance service as a precaution after reporting pain in her neck area.
“The Peugeot was recovered from the scene.”
