Two teenagers in trouble in the Medina

Two coastguard teams from Bembridge and Ventnor have been called to the mouth of the Medina estuary after two youngsters in a dingy got caught out by the tide in East Cowes this afternoon (Saturday, December 22)

A member of the public raised the alarm after it was thought that the young teenagers had become stuck in the mud.

Two teams from Bembridge and Ventnor coastguard search and rescue teams were mobilised to the water’s edge in an area near to Kingston Road sometime around 16:30.

On arrival the pair were found safe and have been given words of advice from the coastguard.
