Asda employee goes bald for daughter

The Counters Section leader at Asda, Melissa Lloyd, had her head shaved on Friday (December 21) in aid of the Little Princess Trust that makes wigs for children with cancer.

Melissa’s 17-year-old daughter, Lorna, has been diagnosed with cancer and is going through chemotherapy, and Melissa wanted to shave her head so her daughter didn’t feel like the odd one out and also to raise money.

Colleagues showed their support by shaving her hair, bag packing and being there on the day for moral support along with many family and friends.

Melissa has hopefully raised in excess of £1,000.

Melissa’s work colleagues also clubbed together to give Lorna a bundle of goodies to help her through the chemotherapy treatment.
