The closer it gets to Christmas, the more hectic the last-minute Christmas rush gets.
Whether it be forgotten Christmas presents or big food shops left to the last minute, we have all been guilty of adopting the ‘I’ll do it later’ mentality. However, that’s all good and well until you realise it’s nearly Christmas, and ‘later’ just never presented itself. But don’t stress.
Instead of shopping on-line and paying extra for unreliable ‘quick’ delivery, why not shop local? This way you can save on all postage costs (or being let down by Royal Mail), and you get to see before you buy – something on-line shopping can’t offer you. It also gives you the opportunity to support our local Island economy and take advantage of festive deals in our local area. The advertisers on these pages are all great places to go shopping to bring a smile to the faces of your loved ones.
Christmas competition
To help you with any last-minute Christmas shopping you may have, the IW Observer in association with the IW Council is running a competition to give away three Wight Gift Cards. The value of each card is £50, and they won’t expire until March 31, 2024. These cards can be used at a variety of local Island shops, and are sure to help you out with all of your shopping needs. For the full list of places you can use the gift card, visit iow.life/wightcard.
To enter the competition and have a chance to win, tell us where you would spend your Wight Gift Card. Send your name, contact details and your answer to competition@iwobserver.co.uk, text your answer to 07469 629071 or call us on that number and leave a message by 5pm on Wednesday, December 20.
Good luck!
