A night remembering former Island DJ, the late Dave Allington, is being held at Cowes FC, Reynolds Close, next Saturday (October 7) in aid of Cowes Alzheimer’s Association.
David Grace, of Newport, died aged 73, 18 months ago, having started his DJ career in the 60s in Southampton, using Allington as a stage name. He moved to the Island in 1971 and was a popular figure on the music scene. He was first diagnosed with Parkinson’s before passing away 18 months ago with Alzheimer’s.
DJs Dave Cass, Mike Gee, Bob Young and Dave Cannon will be playing between 8pm and midnight; free entry, raffle, and donations welcome.
