Symphonix Queen’s Shanklin premiere

Shanklin Theatre will host the premiere of the highly- anticipated concert, Symphonix Queen, on Wednesday (Oct 4), at 7.30pm.

The groundbreaking show will feature a 30-piece live orchestra, a live rock band (Platinum Queen), punk soprano, Friederike Skeet, and Dave Jerome, as Freddie Mercury. Symphonix Queen is the brainchild of musician/promoter, Simon Ledger.

Following the resounding success of “Symphonix Soundtracks,” held in June at Medina Theatre, Simon embarked on planning this unique event, the first of its kind in the UK. “I am absolutely thrilled to hold the premiere of our new show, in my home town, before taking it on a tour across the UK,” said Simon. “As a born-and-bred Shanklin boy, it is truly fitting to showcase this incredible show at Shanklin Theatre. I have made every effort to involve as many local companies and musicians as possible, and I am excited to demonstrate the exceptional talent we have on this Island to the rest of the UK!” With the powerful combination of a live orchestra, a rock band, and remarkable performances, audiences can expect an evening filled with electrifying energy and iconic Queen hits.
