Children from Arreton St George’s Primary School performed their award-winning interpretation of a young couple’s love story, which ends with the need for specialist care from Mountbatten, at the hospice on Monday.
The moving dance routine won the recent Isle Dance 2025 competition and was performed in front of patients, staff and volunteers.
It was inspired by the care given by the Island hospice charity, to members of the school’s community, and the performance involved more than 20 children.
The performance included a rainbow parachute, huge sunflowers and children in nurses’ uniforms, signing in Makaton.
The school said: “Many of us at Arreton Primary have been affected by illness and we are forever grateful for the amazing support provided by Mountbatten.”
Mountbatten’s CEO, Nigel Hartley, added: “Arreton Primary’s marvellous performance was a wonderful opportunity to spread the word about Mountbatten and its role at the heart of our community, providing hospice care, bereavement support and rehabilitation.”
