High-speed fast track motorcycle action returns to Smallbrook Stadium tomorrow (Thursday) after a two week break when the Wightlink Warriors t on The Kent Kings (7pm). The Wightlink Warriors are forced into a change as Chad Wirtzfeld is still out injured following a high speed crash while grass track racing and the remainder of the team is unchanged. The visitors have been also forced in to changes.

The two teams were due to meet at Iwade in Kent last Sunday, but that fell foul to weather.

The Kent team is much changed and former Warrior favourite Ben Morley will have plenty of support. Morley, twice National League Riders champion will be joined at number two by Sam Woods. Nathan Hargrave will ride at number three, four will be Australian Dale Wood, five is another Aussie Patrick Hamilton and finally number six is 15 year old teenage sensation William Cairns.

The Wightlink Warriors will field Skipper Arran Butcher at number one, Sonny Springer who recorded a maximum on his debut against Cradley, and former Warrior and Kent rider Danno Verge is back from his two year retirement at number three. German Henning Loof is at number four, Jacob Clouting come at five and home grown talent and local rider Morgan Williams is at six.

Promoter Barry Bishop stated: “There is no doubt it will be tough meeting and we are looking forward to take on the challenge that Kent bring to us. It’s sure to be action all the way and I hope the home fans make as much noise as they can throughout the meeting.”

There is also a 500cc upright championship qualifier, 12 riders, in 12 heats for a place in the final to be held later in the season, plus junior racing , plus the usual junior racing which starts at 6.15pm.

The tapes will rise at 7pm for the main.
