If your community group or charity is looking for a financial boost, a new event is coming to the Riverside Centre, in Newport, designed to help you unlock funding opportunities and bring your amazing ideas to life.
The ‘Meet the Funders’ event, organised by the IW Council and Community Action Isle of Wight, is happening on Wednesday, October 8, from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
You’ll hear from organisations like the National Lottery, the Arts Council, and the Isle of Wight Foundation. The morning is packed with presentations, giving you information on grants such as the Community Capacity Grant and the Household Support Fund.
In the afternoon you can book one-on-one appointments with funding representatives to pitch your projects and get personalised advice. You can also sharpen your skills in workshops covering topics from bid writing to business resilience.
Teresa Brimble-Brennan, the project officer, says this is the perfect opportunity to “meet the people who can help bring ideas to life.”
