Island performers unite for Full Monty cabaret

Jan and Nigel on the way to Ukraine.

A host of Isle of Wight performers and creatives are joining forces for a one-night-only variety show with a difference.

The Full Monty Charity Cabaret & Comedy Night will feature local entertainers, comedians, dancers and musicians performing to raise funds for Jan Dyer and Nigel Watson, two Island residents who regularly travel to Ukraine to deliver humanitarian aid.

The line-up includes Jim Baylis, Jack Clay, Martyn Bonner, Matt Gifford, Ronnie Pakes and Embracing Dance, plus a magic and danger act by Luke Lamont with Azaria Wood ending with a Full Monty finale choreographed by Azaria herself.

Produced with support from Ballyrags Comedy Club, Jacks Comedy Club, Shuffles Events, Wild Woods Events and the Isle of Wight School of Comedy, the show brings together the Island’s creative community in support of a vital cause.

Jan said: “Since Russia’s war on Ukraine began, I’ve worked with Nigel to personally deliver humanitarian aid funded entirely by donations, and this fundraiser is something we could only have dreamt of.”
Toby Brown, co-founder of Ballyrags and host for the evening, said: “Everything has come together quickly, and now the stage is set for our five brave Full Monty volunteers, including Nigel, to raise vital funds for their incredible work.”

The event promises music, comedy, dance, and plenty of surprises, with all proceeds supporting those affected by the war in Ukraine.

Tickets are available at iw.observer/ballyrags-fullmonty or from Bonnygoo Bar and Burger Lounge, Shanklin.
