Get stuck in at the County Show!

Visitors to the Royal Isle of Wight County Show on Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13, at Northwood Showground, can enjoy more than just a day out – it’s a chance to try something new and get properly involved.

This year, make sure to take up the opportunity to have a go at something different, with lots of interactive activities available for all ages.

Children can test their strength in the Great Steam Tug of War or gallop to victory in the fun hobby-horse racing. Budding young farmers can try pig, goat or calf handling, while those bringing four-legged friends can take part in the Dog Scurry or join the Fun Dog Show.

In the woodland area, there’ll be guided woodland walks and chances to try your hand at woodland crafts. Over on the Village Green, there will be taster sessions in football, cricket and rugby. There’s also pony riding, a rodeo bull and face painting.

Families can visit the Emergency Services Zone and meet the heroes who keep the Island safe, including the police, fire service, ambulance and Air Ambulance.

All activities are included in the ticket price or available at a small additional cost. This is a show that wants everyone to take part!

You can still get an early bird ticket discount until July 11. Under-16s go free with a paying adult, and an adult day ticket is £12.50 instead of £15. The weekend ticket is even better value – just £17, saving £6 on the full price of £23.
