Cowes Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society (CAODS), at Trinity Theatre in Cowes, has a rich history beginning in the 1880s. Now it operates as a not-for-profit organisation, regularly staging a varied range of productions. Its next production is Billy Liar.
Billy Liar is a situation comedy with layers of profound humility, set against the backdrop of an industrial town in 1960.
To escape his mundane working-class life, Billy creates a fantasy world in which to live, the only problem is his worlds are about to collide. What’s more, there’s three women and only one engagement ring!
Performances run from Thursday to Saturday, October 2 to 4, at 7.30pm, with a final show on Sunday, October 5, at 2.30pm. Tickets are £10 for adults and £8 for concessions. Book at iw.observer/billy-liar.
