Brighstone’s pillar box gets a Christmas topper

By Chris Cornford Dec 7, 2020

The Brighstone Knit and Natter Group have been brightening up their village again. This time they have got together to decorate the local pillar box with a Christmas topper.

The five ladies (Liz Brammall, Norma Bradley, Nessa Mitchell, Margaret Rainer and Carol Matthews) meet regularly at the new café, which was formerly the village newsagents. So far this year, they have made a topper to support the NHS which had a nurse and a postman on top of the post box. Then there was another topper to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.

Now they have knitted a ‘hat-trick’ to wish everyone a merry Christmas.
