Vandals strike Nine Acres Community Primary School again

Police are appealing for information after a senseless act of vandalism was committed at a Newport Primary school.

Several pictures detailing the extent of the damage to the playground equipment and windows at Nine Acres Community Primary School in South View in Newport were shared on Facebook.

The school have said: “Whilst we were all welcoming in the New Year someone has decided it would be a good idea to damage our property.”

“We have involved the police who are going to be reviewing CCTV”

The staff at Nine Acres have been left distraught to find that once again the property of the children has been the target of vandalism.

The shed which holds toys and learning equipment have been covered in shattered glass by the glass Panels of the shed.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time that the school has been attacked.

Parents of the school children have started a gofundme page to help raise whatever possible at this time of the year to repair the damage. Any donation would be gratefully received, these children do not deserve to start the new school year having to put up with this thoughtless act of vandalism.

Police confirmed they were investigating an attempted burglary at the site which occurred sometime between December 14 and 17.

A shed door was damaged, but entry was not gained and nothing was taken. Anyone with info to quote reference 44180468425.
