Three youths dressed in hoodies attempted to vandalize advertising hoardings belonging to the Woodman’s Arms pub on Station Road Wootton in the late hours of New Year’s Eve (December 31).
The youths also attempted to break into a car parked in the Woodman’s Arms car park, before being scared off by the pub management.
The three persons involved are then believed to have either headed towards Staplers in Newport, or to have gone along Park Road.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary have been informed of the incident. Anyone with further information should call the police on 101.
