A total of 34 tractors took part in a ride-out for the IW Prostate Cancer & Support Group on Sunday.

The vehicles were part of the Vectis Vintage Tractor & Engine Club, and all were dated pre-1980s.

Organiser Bernie Kemp said: “We started from the Eight Bells pub in Carisbrooke, whose staff cooked a superb breakfast for us and we then moved across to the West Wight.

“We went down the Military Road and into Freshwater Bay before moving on for a drive around Yarmouth and then back to Fort Victoria, where there were loads of visitors and their children waiting to welcome us.

“We are celebrating our 40th birthday year and hoped to have 40 tractors join us, but we were really pleased to have 34 turn up and support us.”

The Tractor Run raised £693.66 for IW Prostate Cancer Support.
