Nearly 40 vehicles took part in the Vectis Vintage Tractor charity rideout on Sunday, raising almost £770 for the IW Prostate Cancer Support Group.
The tractors’ 30-mile rideout around the East Wight started at Arreton Barns and headed towards Merstone, Blackwater, skirting Newport then to Robin Hill and Wootton, before stopping for lunch at The Milk Shack, Coppid Hall Farm, Havenstreet.
After that, it was off to Ashey and Ryde, with a parade at Monktonmead playground. Finally, they headed off to Seaview and St Helens and finished at Goddard’s Brewery.
The group’s secretary, Bernie Kemp, said: “It was a great turnout by our members, and the public who were out in force and putting money in our collecting buckets.

“It got especially busy in Ryde, where there were vintage buses everywhere with the Wightrider weekend!
“Special thanks to Jon Southwell who organised the whole event for us; it was a fantastic day.”
