There were 211 runners who completed the challenging 13 mile (21km) course, with Tom Aldred home in 1h 12m 41s, a minute ahead of Islander Chris Newnham, first in his class, with Beth Howarth first female.

Other category winners included Geoff Doughty, Carly Scoble, Graham Gillham, Finley Baulch, Hayley Baxter, Peter Young and Mandy Smitherman. Ryde Harriers’ male trio of Chris Newnham, Dave Hunt and Joe Wade, and females, Carly Scoble, Gemma Maddocks and Sian Savin, won their respective team events.
