Three arrested in connection with threats to life and drug dealing

Three people have been arrested as part of a threats to life investigation.

Police attended an address in Linden Road, Newport and arrested one man and two women on Wednesday afternoon (August 22).

The two women were arrested on suspicious of possessing Class C drugs with intent to supply.

Officers arrested the 30-year-old Lake man in connection with a threats to life allegation.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: “Officers attended an address in Linden Road, Newport on Wednesday afternoon (August 22) where they arrested a 30-year-old man from Lake as part of an on-going investigation into a threats to life allegation. He remains in custody at this time.

“I can confirm two other people were arrested at the Linden Road address on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class C drug.”
